The 14 piece "Kai Heumann´s Gran Show Latino" played on the worlds biggest Musikfair in  Frankfurt!

On Saturday 1.04. 2006  17 h  at the "Pro Lounge"- Stage as the most important Latin Event of the whole Musicfair!

 

- Kai Heumann  as Endorser für "Guitarras Bros" with his own Guitarmodel: "Modelo Kai Heumann"

- Peña Latina and Latinsession starting  September 2005 in "die börse", Wuppertal, Germany

  • Since August 2005 Kai Heumann is the oficial Endorser for the Spanish Guitar Company "Guitarras Bros", which dedicates him a new and unique guitar model, designed by himself, a socalled Signature Guitar "Modelo Kai Heumann". It will be presented on the International Music Fair in Frankfurt - as their Spanish Guitar Topmodell. It is a handbuilt Masterguitar of the renowned Spanish Luthier  Francisco Broseta, which offers new acoustic and electroacoustic characteristics.

  • The Peña Latina, a cultural meeting place for Latinos/Latinophile and the old-established Latinsession will be presented together as one big Event. After the summer break now still biger, with a great 8-piece Band: Jorge Oliva (voc, perc), Sergio Mansilla (voc, git), Thomas Bachmann, (voc, git) Rolf Fahlenbrook (E-bass), Kai Heumann (voc, git), Burkhard Hessler (piano), Andreas Landrock (dr, timb), and Herbert Schneider (sax). Instead of the "Caribe", a latin bar in  Wuppertal where it all startet - by the way, thanks to the owner Uwe Peters for all your great support(!), the "Peña Latina and Latinsession" we got a new place. The new adress is: "die boerse", Wolkenburg 1oo, 42119 Wuppertal, Germany  starting from September 2005 at 19 o'clock each last Sunday in the month. We are pleased about a larger hall with better possibilities for musicians and dancers. With Petra Lueckerath as the Manager of "die boerse" we got not only a very competent Eventpartner but also a passionate Salsadancer of herself. "Kai Heumann´s Proyecto Guitarra Latina" - a group of longtime musical fellows  - is formed with musicians, who belong to the cream of the German Latin scene: Musicians from bands like Salsa Picante, Tierra Latina, Tumbao, Sergio Mansilla Ensemble etc.

Compositions of Tito Puente, Antonio Carlo Jobim, Luis Bonfa, Heitor Villa Lobos, Mariano Mores, Astor Piazzola and Kai Heumann are authentically  interpreted in their own way.
In 2003 the group was founded by Kai Heumann where his Guitar is accompanied by Percussion, bass, Piano and guitar .

This Setup can be extended and/or changed as the different Stiles require, to  be able to play them in an authentic way, which means that the guitar  is accompanied  by a Salsa- or Latinjazzband by a Tango-, Folklore- or a Sambaensemble! This requieres well trained musicians which are able to  play all these Stiles.

The improvisation is very important for this spontaneous  musicians - without it this lively music would not be the same. That makes things happen which never had be done before nor can be repeatet and allways sounds fresh and unique.

Salsa, Tango, Samba (to name  only the most well-known Latin American Rhythms played here)united in a guitar concert - a unique project which is really spectacular.

On 20.05.2005 the World-Premiere of the Gran Show Latino was celebratet:

Proyecto Guitarra Latina

"Gran Show Latino"

was presented by Kai Heumann with his 14 piece band Proyecto Guitarra Latina in the  Wuppertaler concerthall called "die boerse",  featuring the two feminine Cuban  dancers "las Cubanitas",  brazilian Percussion with "As Pentatinhas", the renown Timbales Player Poncho Valdez, the Conga player Miguel de la Loma as well as the the famous Cuban Actress and  Martha Lanurys.

A world premiere which  took not only a huge interest in the guitarworld because  in this Show the Guitar acts in the main role! The premiere was recorded by  Televisionchannel WDR and was put on air the next day.
